my life
This is a glimpse into my life as a mom of two little girls, as I continually find joy (and angst) in the most unexpected places, often found guzzling coffee in an attempt to keep my eyes open. I’ve also recently started my own business, which involves working part-time, which has totally turned my life upside down!!
Living in the ‘burbs with a mortgage, driving a minivan with two car seats in the back, spending my days coloring and having princess tea parties or up in my office working frantically before naptime is over. Its not at all the life I planned on living, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. This is highly caffeinated parenting at its best right here.
Special Guest Stars:
Husband: my wonderful, adorable husband of 6 years. He is a engineer/businessy type of guy, who loves soccer and mountain biking. And, recently, golf. This blog will hopefully give valuable insight as to what happens when an artsy liberal arts major tries to live with a logical engineering major.
Big Sister, Ellie: (age 4) Beautiful, sweet natured girl who loves life. She does not, however, appreciate being told what to do. Her hobbies include waking me up at the crack of dawn, avoiding sleep at all costs and trying to pin her crimes on little sister. I believe that manipulation may be her secret superpower.
Little Sister, Gracie: (age 3) Very petite and very adorable. And is fully aware of how to use this to her advantage. She is pretty mellow, but after being bossed around by her older sister for awhile, she has now decided to fight back. She is surprisingly strong for one so tiny. She enjoys climbing and putting her life in danger.
Here they are, looking adorable and not at all threatening:
and this is me:
Seriously. This is what I look like when my husband comes home. Don’t you?

Hey, I remember when the Mom’s did look like that when the husbands came home!!! lol Guess that gives you a clue to how old I am although I am lucky to drag a comb through my hair before my hub comes home! I love your bags, I make bags too, it becomes an obsession sometimes. Stop by sometime and check out my bags!

Hi,
My sister-in-law told me about your blog. She said you live in a suburb of Philly. My husband and I just moved to Devon, PA, right on the Main Line (we moved from Oregon) I’m also pregnant, and it sounds like we’re about at the same due date. I’m curious if you have any recommendations for hospitals, since you may live real close to us.
I like your blog!
